PROFILE

Education: 2007: PhD in Civil Law from the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Grade: "Excellent", unanimously. 2002: Two-year Master's Degree in Civil Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Excellent (9.71). 1999: Law degree from the Law Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Excellent (9.04).

Academic Employment

1. Since 31.12.2010 Lecturer, since 30.4.2014 Assistant Professor, since 3.8.2020 Associate Professor, elected full Professor of Civil Law at the School of Law of the University of Athens in 18.03.2026.

He is teaching at undergraduate level General Principles of Civil Law, Law of Obligations (General Part), Law of Obligations (Special Part), Family Law and Applications of Civil Law and at postgraduate level Banking Law, Special Issues of Real Estate Law, Legal Methodology and Private Law and Contemporary Issues of Sales Law.

2. Member of the Committee for the Evaluation of the Quality of the Legislative Procedure under the Secretariat General for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs since 2019.

3. Member of Legislative Committees (for the reform of the Law on sales and the provision of digital services, for the transfer of the Dodecanese cadastre to the national cadastre, for state property, etc.).

International Activities

1. Fellow of the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law (Europäisches Zentrum für Schadenersatz- und Versicherungsrecht), based in Vienna.

2. National Reporter for Greece at the Annual Conference on European Tort Law, jointly organised by the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law and the Institute for European Tort Law in Vienna (2020–present).

3. Contributor to the European Tort Law Yearbook (De Gruyter), providing comprehensive national reports on developments across European jurisdictions, edited by profs. Ernst Karner and Barbara Steininger.

4. National Reporter for Greece at the conference held at the University of Ferrara (9–10 June 2022), titled “Harmonisation of Digital Contract Law: The Impact of EU Directives 2019/770 and 2019/771 and the Regulation of Online Platforms”.
