PROFILE
Vasilis Triantafyllidis is Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. from the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has also obtained an LL.M. and a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin (Germany), both under the supervision of Prof. Dr. iur. Dr. rer. pol. Dres. h.c. Franz Jürgen Säcker. He has carried out post-doctoral research at the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the field of law of obligations. He teaches General Principles of Civil Law, Law of Obligations, Property Law and Advanced Lessons on Civil Law in the graduate program and Energy & Civil Law in the postgraduate program of the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests include contract and tort law, property law, succession law, European private law, as well as energy and competition law. He is a native Greek speaker, while fluent in English and German. He has a good command of French. He is practicing law as an attorney since 2009 and is licensed for litigation before the Greek Supreme Court (Areios Pagos). His professional practice is mainly focused on contract and tort law, business and banking law, energy law and litigation.
