PROFILE

Georgios Triantafyllou completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Athens (1987) and got a PhD at the same university (1992). He is currently Assistant Professor of criminal law and criminal procedure. His areas of interest are Criminal Law, criminal procedure, European and International Criminal Law.

ANCILLARY ACTIVITIES

He has been a member of legislative committees for the transposition of European directives and framework - decisions into Greek Law. He was the single point of contact for the Study on the future institutional and legal framework of judicial cooperation in criminal matters in the EU  - Vermeulen, De Bondt, Ryckmann (eds.), Reithinking international cooperation in criminal matters in the EU -. He has been a member of the Board of the Hellenic Association of Criminal Law and is a member of the European and International Criminal Law Institute.
