LL.M IN INTERNATIONAL & EUROPEAN LAW - GUEST LECTURE (IN PERSON) BY DR CHARALAMPOS GIANNAKOPOULOS

We are delighted to announce that on Tuesday 16 May 2023, 19.00-21.00 pm, Dr Charalampos Giannakopoulos will give an in-person guest lecture on the topic "Manifestations of Coherence and Investor-State Arbitration" for the course “International Investment Law & Arbitration” in the context of the 2022/23 LL.M. in International & European Law. The lecture will take place at 45 Akadimias Str., 1st floor, Room C. Students and researchers are encouraged to attend! Join us.

 

Dr Charalampos Giannakopoulos is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for International Law (CIL), National University of Singapore, and an associate editor of the Asian Journal of International Law (AsianJIL). His areas of research focus include international investment law, international adjudication, treaty interpretation, and legal theory. In the past, Charalampos has been a Visiting Research Consultant at CIL and a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Michigan Law School. He has also worked as a legal consultant at UNCTAD (Investment Agreements Section), and as a trainee in the cabinet of the European Commissioner for maritime affairs and fisheries. Charalampos holds a Ph.D in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva), an LL.M from University College London, and an LL.B from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is a qualified lawyer, admitted to the bar in Athens, Greece. His recent monograph has been published by Cambridge University Press: Giannakopoulos, C. (2023), Manifestations of Coherence and Investor–State Arbitration, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2022).
